As most of you know we had an impromptu Easter egg hunt on the last Thursday where Fiddis, Michael, Hannah and I had the fun job of scattering hundreds of eggs around Deakin, I still think there’s some in the Laundry. In pairs with one partner blind folded residents collected chocolate from everywhere it was a funny thing to watch.

Honourable mentions: to all the girls that collected Easter eggs throughout the gardens in high heels.

Jillian: for taking out the chocolate eating competition (pretty impressive chocolate eating skills!

Vicky: for her awesome wrappings skills with the Easter Hamper

Chatterbox: has been running really well from discussions around cultural experiences to the implications of the media alongside an array of yummy food. Although Chatterbox is winding up and Tuesday 13th will be the last chance to be involved.  We will be

·       Watching  Close The Gap DVD

·       Discussions around homelessness, and what is being done around the world.

·       Painting a Deakin Collage/starting Dan McLeod’s Deakin Flag

Movie nights : Don't forget: every Thursday night is movie night in the loft with our highest attendance this month of 25 people (pretty good on a Nott night)

you can bring or suggest any movies you want and remember there’s always popcorn or ice-cream.

I also promise not to show Time Travellers Wife ever again.

Quote of the month: from the Dalai Lama: Unless we know the value of other religious traditions, it is difficult to develop respect for them. Mutual respect is the foundation of genuine harmony. We should strive for a spirit of harmony, not for political or economic reasons, but rather simply because we realize the value of other traditions, i always make an effort to promote religious harmony. other tr...aditions.
