The President

Welcome to 2010 Deakinites, Wobbie will write wamblings for every edition of the reincarnated ALF magazine this year. Hopefully reviewing a bit of Deakin history as well as some current comical events while I’m at it.

Thanks for all those who participated in O week this year. I assume you all had a great week, even our college head Jason. We were all so well behaved!

Although there were many kilometres covered on the scavenger hunt there seemed to be many highlights. Honourable mentions to Jake (Peer Pressured) Higgs for almost getting smashed in the face while ghosting.

From what I’ve noticed everyone seems to be settling into cooking groups which is great. The only rule with cooking groups is you must cook steak on Thursday nights. It’s not Nott Night without Steak Night. Serving suggestions include home brand hamburger buns, non circular fried eggs (egg flipping contest may or may not be included in Steak Night), lettuce, tomato, onion and heaps of sauce. Don’t forget your vessel if you plan to do some drinking before the Nott!

Impressive and Idiotic Acts

3          Adam (loose) King, the first person to go to beach party and the last to come home. Without his shirt, shoes or wallet.

2          Charlie Bell, what can’t the little cute 17 year old do?

1          All those who drew blood on Thursday night- Dutch, Tim, Ally, Marissa

-1         Mark (tall tales) Warren, how much stuff can you lose in one week?

-5         Pedro “the Mexican predator” Pires
